Welcome (DG): I thanked and welcomed all members to the Tisbury Angling Club AGM and announced that the meeting was now in session. This included a reminder to all members of the club’s vision.

Opening Business (DG) Reviewed the objectives and metrics presented at the 24/25 AGM and reminded the members what metric would be used to measure success.

Objective 1:Memebership Growth:  Metric to measure: Retain current members, growth of 10% across all memberships (Not achieved)

Objective 2: Portfolio Growth: Metric to measure: Retain current waters, continue to identify opportunities for new waters (achieved)

Objective 3:Infrastructure: Liasson with landlords to improve current infrastructure, allocation of £5000 (achieved).

(DG) Continued the opening to review the 24/25 year.

Investment in Maintenance

  • £5300 Lake improvements
  • £1000 New tools, including chainsaw, strimmer, hedge cutter
  • 10, 10lb plus Specimen Carp added to Dinton
  • Tender Win COOP Local Cause Minimum £1000

Successful Summer and Winter League

  • 19 Successful Senior Matches
  • 5 Successful Junior Matches
  • 1 Successful Festival
  • Charity Fishing Match £2,116.52p

Financial Health & Observations
This year, Tisbury Angling Club has maintained a stable financial position, with
responsible spending ensuring the club’s sustainability. Our income has remained
steady, though we acknowledge the importance of future fundraising efforts to
support growth.

  • Exploring new revenue streams, such as sponsorships or merchandise sales.
  • Strengthening member engagement through events and promotions.
  • Continuing efforts to keep costs manageable while improving facilities.

(DG) spoke about the successful tendering with the Co-op and that although guaranteed income of £1000 over 2 payments that the overall income can be improved by Co-op members voting for TAC local cause. In addition the club will attend local event to to promote the club and to rally support for votes. (If you are reading this please vote)

(DG) Also discussed the idea of establishing TAC as an amateur club and registering with companies house., By being a recognise amateur club it will allow the club to clam gift aid for those members who are PAYE, this would generate additional income.
